When someone may come across a major decision and just can't make up there mind, the systematic decision making process will allow you to make a clear and correct judgment. The process defines your problem and then states your goals. By collecting valid information, one can understand which situation to approach. Making suitable verdicts throughout life will eventually lead someone to be successful one way or another.
First off you must define the problem. State the real problem, not the setback you are emotionally attached to. Putting the problem in specific terms will allow you to break it down and understand it better. Next, state your problem as a question. Make sure to state your goals as clear and logical as you can.
Secondly you must collect all the information you can from as many sources that you have access to. Start with these few questions to help on what kind of info you need. What kind do you need? Where and how can you obtain it? Is it relevant enough to solve your problem? These questions will not only help you but also really make your decision easier to select.
Next you must list the alternative solutions to your problem. Understand which problems are risky, safe, or beneficial to you. How do your personal beliefs come in to play with your possible decision? Is the outcome of each decision worthwhile to you, or a waste of time? You must select the best solution that will have the best results with the goals you stated earlier.
You must now implement your choice into the overall situation. Think about the actions you can take now. What action will you need to take later? Last but not least, review your choice periodically to make sure you are picking the right outcome.
