How to Feed the Growing Brain

The topic that interests me the most was "How to feed the growing brain". According to the newest brain research, babies brain begins crackling with activity before they're even born. At birth a baby's brain has 100 billion nerve cells or neurons. But by the time they're three years old it has increases to about 1,000 trillion.
There are five parenting practices that will help ensure the brain is developing healthy. 1) Be warm, loving and responsive. 2) Talk, read and sing to your child. 3) Encourage safe exploration and play. 4) Use discipline as an opportunity to teach. 5) Choose quality childcare and stay involved.
I totally agree that every child should received the five parenting practices because studies have shown that children who receive responsive care giving such as reading, cuddling, and talking do better with difficult times. Communicating gives them a solid basis for learning. Children learn by playing which helps them develop curiosity, confidence, language and problem solving skills that will come in hand as they get older. And remember to use discipline as an opportunity to teach rather than to punish.
Another Website that I found that had information on the same topic was
http://www.choa.org/brain/partents.shtml. This site was about how you care for your baby helps decide how the brain wires itself. Like talking to your baby helps him/her develop language connections, being attentive when he/she cries helps ensure an emotional connection. And both put together will help him/her get along with others as they get older.
