Pressure

It's hard when your family isn't has rich as other families. You have to worry about who is going to help whom and helping them achieve that goal. In my family I am that designated person. I was always smart in school, getting straight As as an elementary student. Going to college, will lead me to getting a great job as a doctor and having money. This will not only help me but those in my family that need and can't succeed as well as me.
Ever since I was a little girl, I was told that education would be the most important obligation in my life. My mom never had the chance to continue her education through college because she had a child. So now, she wants me to be that best that I can be without any interferences. Throughout my academic career, she has stressed me out because anything below a B is unacceptable. My mom works me entirely too hard. I can barely go out with my friends or just go to someone else's house. She thinks that time can be used to focus on homework or a test that's weeks away. I have no personal life.
Now that I'm a junior in high school, more pressure has been piled on about getting into a good college and becoming something that will make my mom proud of me. However, now not only do I have to think about college applications and SATs, but also financial aid and scholarships that will help me achieve this goal. I have to maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average for the last two years of highschool and find other scholarships that will help me with college tuition.
