I remember the day I met Jennifer there she was - standing there - with dimples that made my heart jump. She was the captain of the cheerleading squad and everyone knew her in school. I couldn't stop looking at her. Thoughts raced through my head. What is her name? Does she have a boyfriend? Does a kid like me have a chance with her? I finally got up the courage to walk over to her and when she spoke, she eased my soul. Even though I was only in the ninth grade I knew there was something special about her. I never knew what it was until later on in the relationship; when Jennifer gave me my first heartbreak. She spoke to me in a way that no one has ever talked to me.
When I approached her that day, she was wearing this short black skirt that accented her beautiful legs. She was almost four inches shorter than me; I thought that she was the perfect height. Jennifer had long brown hair. She had beautiful green-blue eyes. I loved to look into her eyes and just slip away from reality to a place where only we existed.
