My Grandfather
             There are many people in my family that is special to me. There is one particular person who has really had an impact on my life. My grandfather, Luther James Marshall, was my inspiration. Although he died in March of 2001, he showed me how important life really was. My grandfather was just like my father. Although I had my real father around me, my grandfather was the one who was always there for me. No matter what happened in my life, he was always the one who looked beyond my faults. It seemed like no matter what I done, I was always a perfect little girl to him. My grandfather was great at many things. He was a faithful church member/worker, understanding, and humorous. My grandfather loved to go to church. When it came to church, he served in many auxiliaries. When he was down and sick, he was still attending church. There is one time that comes to my mind. He had just got out of the hospital from having surgery. He really was not well
             enough to attend church, but he mad it his business to attend church the following Sunday. That's why there is no reason for anyone not to attend church. If a half sick man can attend church, then anyone can attend church. There were many times when my grandfather was not able to attend church, but he still pressed his way on. Not only was he a faithful church member, he was a dedicated church worker. He served as church clerk, superintendent of Sunday school, and church secretary. Many days if the weather was bad, he had to go out in the rain to attend meetings. My grandfather remained a faithful member/worker until his death. My grandfather was also a understanding man. He was the only one that understood me. When I was down, he was always there to listen to me. One time, I was in some trouble and it seemed like no one believed me.
