Lord of the Flies

At the beginning of the story we are introduced to th main character named Ralph. He is a good looking boy with a lot of leadership qualities. He is one of the oldest boys that are stranded of the island after their plane crash. He immediately wants to gather all the other survivors. He is assisted by a boy named Piggy. The plan is to have rules and to make a fire so that they can make smoke and all be rescued. Most of the boys seem willing to work together. The first days were happy and care free. Things started to fall apart on the island when Ralph's authority was challenged. Rules started to be broken and rough animal behavior became common.
The first sign of things falling apart was when the hunters let the fire go out. They were so into the hunt they did not think of the rule to keep the fire going was important. The second major problem was when Jack the main hunter started to challenge Ralph's authority. He did not like Ralph , may be because he was jealous of Ralph. He wanted the boys to follow him and not Ralph. He bribed the other boys at first and latter on with help of a very cruel boy named Roger he persuaded boys into following there unruly ways. The final thing, seems to be after the hunters started killing pigs and painting their faces as if to cover up who they really were. They became savages who were ruled by a brutal force.
There evilness seemed to get worse. The killing of Simon and Piggy were terrible, but the last chapter the boys are planning to hunt and kill Ralph. Ralph was only spared because of the appearance of a grownup. I wonder what happened to all those boys in the years after there rescue.
