Tell all the Truth but tell it slant-
             "Tell all the Truth but tell it slant"- This particular line hits close to home pertaining to our situation as far as our pending war with Iraq and what we are being told. We are periodically informed, but not without bias. The capital T in Truth seems to mock the truth, as when a person puts a word in quotations, to negate the meaning, or call it the "so-called truth". It implies that information is provided, but it is not complete or honest. Telling it "slant", is telling with a bias, giving information, but misrepresenting it. "Success in Circuit lies"- To me this seems to say that we are enclosed in a space of reality and don't venture outside of the circuit to find the "Truth".
             "Too bright for our inform Delight" suggests that we are too weak to be able to handle the real truth. We are happier knowing the watered down version, or what makes us most comfortable rather than the scary truth. It makes me think of "Ignorance is bliss". We are happier not knowing that which may make our day gloomier. The absolute truth may make us less patriotic, or question those who are in power. "The Truth's superb surprise" Real truth is tremendous and possibly overwhelming for an average person. It is like protecting a person for what another feels is his or her own good.
             "As Lightening to the Children eased; With explanation kind" This plays on how children are scared of lightening, usually until it is explained. The capitalization of "Children" symbolizes society, not just the children. Things are explained, but not as to bruise our fragile, human ego, or sway our allegia
