Because of affirmative action, the most qualified employee is not always rewarded for his or her accomplishments and hard work. No individual should reap the benefits of affirmative action because of his or her race. When employers hire an individual or do not hire an individual because of race, this is discrimination; whether it is a white male or a minority, it is nevertheless discrimination.
