Diego Rivera is a Famous painter in Mexico and many parts of the world. He was born the 13 of December of 1886 in Guanajuato, Gto. He studied arts and painted many great murals in many parts of Mexico such as the National Palace, and a university (UNAM) and made many exhibitions during his life. He died the 24th of November in 1957 in Mexico. Now on days many of his paintings and some murals are located in the " Palacio de Bellas Artes de Mexico". Some of his paintings are "The flower carrier", "Flower Day", "Nude with Calla Lilies", and many others.
             In the painting titled " the Grinder" by Diego Rivera, you can observe that there is a lady grinding a sort of mixture on a stone. On the back of the picture you can distinguish an oven with some tortillas in it. The woman has a long white dress with no illustration on it. The lady has black long hair with some red ribbons in her head. The woman has a strong composition and she is kind of plump.
             The picture itself has round figures, such as the Lady's arms, head, hands and entire body. Also the stone, even though it is square, it is curved type of concave. Then the Tortillas and the mixture she is preparing are not firm, it is round and you can perceive the softness of the mixture. The only thing that is not round is the oven, there should be a reason for this but I don't know it. The colors of the picture are cool, with blues and browns except for the woman's white dress and the ribbons on her hair. Using these colors the calmness of the person doing his work without any complain is transmitted.
             While admiring this, I start to meditate on what the artist is trying to say. Then I get to a conclusion, the artist is trying to tell us that our work should be enjoyed, even though we might not like it.
