             ' I am afraid. Afraid, afraid.' The writer is trying to get across that being a Jewish boy was terrifying, because of people just judging you of your raise.
             Friendship is also treated seriously, meaning there is a lot of goodwill between Friedrich and the narrator,
             ' I took Friedrich's sleeve pulled him across the hall and pushed him into my room and to my toys. You can play with them'. This phrase shows that the narrator has been a close friend to Friedrich since they, were both young.
             'Friedrich' shows a lot of Loyalty between both the narrators and Friedrich. I think it took great courage for the narrator to be friends with Friedrich; this was because during Hitler's time no one was allowed to be friends with Jewish people or they would be punishment.
