When I mull over the predicament of the Indian society, I am struck by an excruciating voice, drowning in the prevalent misdeeds and inequalities. This faint voice represents the adversity of Indian women, battling against the winds of dogmatic beliefs. Without an iota of uncertainty, women in Indian society are no equals for their contemporaries of the opposite sex.
             The biases held against women are mere prejudices, based on untruth and injustice. In every aspect of life, women are confronted with unfavorable conditions. To this perennial problem, lurking behind the Indian society, the women have no answer. They have to unconditionally resign to their faith. This social problem is the untold truth, whose despondent whispers have subtly marred every person's conscience. Yet the intricacy of the matter has prevented everyone to raise a voice against this way of life. The present state of women vouches for the male chauvinism existing in Indian society.
             Respect for women, uxorious husbands and deferential status of women, are propositions of the past, which have been hurled in the abyss of oblivion. What exist now in Indian society are extreme inequalities and lack of cordiality offered to women. Any clarion call against this malpractice is overpowered by the nefarious elements of the society. Indian women live with the negation of life, completely unaware of the simplicity and joy that comes with the acceptance of life.
             The cultural background and religious scriptures, which portray the prime importance of women in India, are merely apocryphal tales in the context of today's society. Every member of the Indian community has squandered the knowledge and ethics, derived from their own religious communities.
