er determined that Mahoney's blood alcohol was .21, this being .13 points above the normal alcohol level. Mahoney, who was fined for a dui (driving under the influence) previous to the accident, merely got away with a slap on the wrist. He wasn't seriously hurt and only got 16 years in prison. That is not even one year for every person that was killed. Now, one would think that Nunnallee would have done something about this, or even any of the other family's, but Nunnallee went after Ford. That's right Ford. Nunnallee claimed that Ford knowingly placed the gas tanked there on the bus. This is outrageous. I can understand wanting justice for her daughter's death, but I think the 5 million dollars they received from Ford could have waited. Ford denied the wrong doing but still settled. Instead of working at getting Mahoney at least 24 years or life, she settled with her 5 million dollars (All information pulled from an article by Grace-Meyer Field). At $60,000 salary, Nunnallee could at least earn her pay and set the right example. But just to be correct, Nunnallee has done a lot for mad including the push for the Zero Tolerance Act, which prohibits youth under 21 from driving with any alcohol at all in their blood. Karolyn Nunnallee is a good president; there are just some things that make you wonder why she is there. In considering MADD's leadership, one might wonder about some the issues being pushed against America and especially to congress.
             My next point is combined through a lot of facts related to MADD's push for new laws and requests. One of the biggest topics MADD is pushing is for all states to adopt the new blood alcohol levels (BDL) to .08 down from the previous .10. In 1993 MADD rated the states on drunk driving.
