I think that The Pardoner's Tale was a fair story. The beginning plot is
             somewhat hard to follow, but this is offset by the ending and the story sends
             The plot to The Pardoner's Tale starts with three friends searching for
             death. They want to find death and slay him. They meet an old man that tells
             them to look under an oak tree. They go to the tree and find a large sum of
             gold. The three decide to wait until after dark to retrieve the gold and divide it
             among them. The youngest of the three goes into town and buy 3 bottles of
             wine and some poison. He poisons two of the bottles to give his companions.
             While he is gone, the older two decide to kill the youngest. They plan for one
             of them to wrestle him to the ground while the other stabs him to death.
             When the youngest of the three returns later that evening, the other two put
             their plan into action and kill the youngest. Then they drink the poisoned wine
             In this story the narrator sends a few different messages to the reader.
             The fact that the three look for death and find it Says to the reader "Be
             careful what you wish for because you just might find it". Another message is
             sent buy the gold the three find that ultimately drives them to kill each other.
             This shows that "Money is the root of all evil".
             In conclusion I give this story a rating of 2 out of 5 stars. The main
             problems I had with the story was its slow start and hard to follow beginning.
             The action in the end save the story in my opinion. I would recommend this
             story to anyone interested in Anglo-Saxon Literature.
