The Veldt

When I read Bradbury‘s short story "The Veldt" I thought in how technology has been slowly changing the humanity. At first we did not had any kind of technology, all the work was done by hand and we had no form of technological communication, we only had to speak person to person or to write by hand what we wanted to say. We did not had machines that did work for us or robots that helped in a certain task.
In Bradbury‘s short story, we can see how the children have a room in which they are taken care of, they depend on that room to do everything they wish to or everything they have to. Their parents play no major role in their lives because their "nursery" is the room. They can also make the room like a fantasy for them, but at the end is that fantasy who kills their parents. There is a nature vs. technology conflict, and we can see how at the end it is nature who is the most powerful and who wins this situation.
From this story we should learn that we should not depend on technology for everything that we do or that we must not defy nature because at the end we are taken back to who we use to be and we are taken everything that we own.
