She did not give up. She went on studying Greek and Latin until her great opportunity, when she spent her adolescence years, training to write professionally by keeping journal notebooks. It was the starting point of her professional career like author.
             Now, I have presented her back ground, I'd like to discuss openly some fragments which call more my attention in her work 'Monday or Tuesday', in particular, one of those eight stories – 'A society'.
             "THIS is how it all came about." This is the way how Virginia opens her story, six or seven of them, sitting one day after tea, talking about life. "After a time, so far as I can remember, we drew round the fire and began as usual to praise men-how strong, how noble, how brilliant, how courageous, how beautiful they were-how we envied those who by hook or by crook managed to get attached to one for life-..." In this ironic passage, which will be dominant in the whole story, Virginia shows what was going on in the women's mind – to admire men. As far as I know, those six or seven women represented the whole group of women in her time. Furthermore, it was used to watching groups of women, spending theirs last hours of the day by talking about the most prominent men.
             "For though we like her, Poll is no beauty; leaves her shoe laces untied; and must have been thinking, while we praised men, that not one of them would ever wish to marry her. At last she dried her tears". Men noted them, only, by their appearance, in this regard the most attractive women; it means what their eyes could catch. Therefore, someone who leaves her shoe laces untied or any thing else could not be asked in marriage. In other words, someone does not take care of her external appearance never be able to attract a men. Even though, she comes to have an inner beauty.
