Implicit memory is memory that is stored in the brain that we aren't aware of consciously. I have the tendency to have deja vu quite often. I walk into a restaurant that I have never been too, but for some reason I feel like I have. Maybe this causes me to feel ill or excited for unknown reasons to me.
The 'False Fame Effect' is where we see a name over and over again and then have it mixed with several real famous names we assume they are famous because the name catches our eye like Michael Jackson or Bill Clinton. So when we see something that we unconsciously find familiar mixed with something that we can register consciously as familiar or famous we assume they are related in some way.
In 'Eyewitness transference' we may witness a crime and then have to describe the assailant, but we may recall only the face of another person we saw in a book of mug shots or on America's Most Wanted. So now two people from possibly two different situations are confused in memory.
'Cryptomnesia' can get you in some serious trouble, but can possibly be a good 'defense'. I do recall several songs that seem vary similar to each other, and with movies as well. Sometimes we hear or see something and then forget it for awhile, but subconsciously recall it as our own idea. We write it down or film it, but sadly it turns out it's already been done.
