While attending Albany State University, I have had experience like no other. I've had some great ups and some bad downs. The whole feeling of being on my own and semi-self dependent, is a big step for me. This is a major responsibility in my life. I like all of my teachers this semester. I know people that say they don't like teachers, but I quite haven't had that problem. I guess it's the type of person I am, or I've just been lucky so far. I guess I will find out later on in college. There are a numerous amount of people that are thinking about changing there major because of how difficult it has been for them already.
             I had a great start on the school year because I went to Tuskegee Institute this summer, and it gave me a heads up on college life. Most people expected more or less, but I knew what was coming. Tuskegee prepared for tough times, but Albany State is easier, so I was very prepared. I got along with everyone except my room mate. We got off to a bad start, but we settled the problem slightly enough to finish the semester. I also became the mascot, so I get a lot of support from students and teachers. My classes couldn't be any better. I'm the type of person that can adapt to my classes. Some people are just used to one thing.
             My favorite teachers this semester would have to be Dr. Bynum, of course, Dr. Graper and Dr. Roberts. They have been so helpful and very flexible with freshman in general. They know that freshman just need a break to get use to the college life. They want to help us learn but make an enjoyable experience as well. Some teachers just make it hard for students. There are some teachers like that, but in the end you really learn something. Those are the type of teachers you look back on and say "I remember him or her."
