Destiny, chance, fortune, providence, luck and doom. Those are all words that a thesaurus contains for the word FATE. Not a bad description in my mind but lets look at a dictionary. Of which I found three good explanations for the word FATE. The principle or determining cause or will by which things in general are believed to come to be as they are or events to happen as they do. An inevitable and often adverse outcome, condition, or end. The expected result of normal development, or final outcome.
Now I'm not going to say that there is no such thing as FATE, but I chose not to believe in it. I'm sure that there are people out there believing in FATE so much that if I were to provide enough reasons to waver there belief in the subject that they may fear that there lives are meaningless and commit suicide. So for all those strong believers in a god or higher entity listening is optional. Not even the most wise of people can prove that there is or is not a thing such as FATE.
Many historical poets have touched on the subject of FATE. Some of which are Shakespeare, Plato, and Socrates. If it were FATED so I would have been finished with this a long time ago because I tried to find the easy way out and looked for pre-done essays, but then again I guess it wasn't FATED this time for me to get off that easy. When touching on this subject you have to wonder what a person such as myself or yourselves would be FATED to do in life. Some may be FATED to be doctors, drunks, politicians, bums, Captains, or druggies. In most peoples beliefs there is no way to know because only one person knows everyone's FATE and he or she is not telling.
I honestly do not believe in FATE because I do not the idea of my life being pre ordained and thus not really my life and merely some play in which I am an actor. Even if I was FATED to be an ensign, a low ranking officer in the navy, I would chose to go against it, I would ...
