Shakespeare

"We cannot all be master, nor all masters cannot be truly followed", is a famous quote
from one of Shakespeare's plays. In Shakepeare's time, plays, poems, and sonnets performed in
theaters were the main source of entertainment. William Shakespeare's plays were very much
enjoyed by rich and poor people alike. William Shakespeare began his writing during the
Elizabethean reign, which is known as the Renaissance period. Some of his plays included his
interest like science, commerce, philosophy and the arts. The plays written by Shakespeare were
done in the Globe Theater. The Globe Theater was a three story wooden structure with an open
courtyard in the middle. They would perform the plays in the middle of the courtyard and the
audience would watch from all around. Men were the only performers allowed because it was not
proper for a women to be on stage.
"Love sought is good, but given unsought is better",
is another quote in famous Shakespeare plays.
William Shakespeare was born on April 23, 1564 and was the third of eight children. At
the age of eighteen, Shakespeare married a woman named Anne who was twenty-six years of age.
They had a child and named her Susanna. Twins were also born named Hamnet and Judith.
Shakespeare was divorced and married several other times.
Shakespeare was a part of the Lords Chamberlien's Men. This was a group of men who
performed plays and poems on stage in London. Around 1592 to 1594 there was an outbreak of
the plague and the theater was shut down. Even though the theater closed, Shakespeare
continued writing poems, sonnets and plays.
William Shakespeare was said to be one the greatest writers. Some people believed that
his works were not his own. The Shakespeare Oxford Society says that it is very unlikely that
anyone else could have written those plays, poems, and sonnets. Dating Shakespeare&apos...
