Essay on Death of a Salesman

Wagner his boss refuses by telling him there is no room in New York, and then explains another bad news to Willy; that he can no longer represent the firm in New England anymore because he is only causing harm for the firm. Suddenly Willy¡s world collapsed. He is now without a Job and has to go to Charley and old friend to borrow money to pay his insurance premium. Later in the play we find out that Willy has been borrowing fifty dollars every week for quite sometime, pretending the amount to be his salary. Charley offers Willy a Job; however, Willy refuses and says he cannot work for him.
             Biff and Happy meet in the restaurant, Biff explains that he has been living an illusion. He tells Happy that he has stole himself out of all the opportunities he has ever had, to show Willy that he is no longer bringing home any prizes. When Willy arrives, he tells the boys that he has been fired and refuses to listen to Biff¡s story. Then Willy pretends he has another appointment the following day. Biff out of frustration leaves the restaurant. Happy picked up two girls¡ follows Biff and leaves. Willy is now all alone in the restaurant.
             Later that night, Biff comes home and finds Willy out in the back yard planting seeds and talking to his brother Ben. But this is only in Willy¡s illusions because he has not seen his brother for many years, and Ben has actually been dead for nine month.
