Attitude - Behaviour Relations

mework which could understand and explain the relationship between attitudes and behaviours, named the Theory of Reasoned Action in 1975. The theory is based on the assumption that persons are usually quite rational and make systematic use of the information available to them. It is usual that people consider the implications of their actions before they decide to engage or not engage in a given behaviour (Ajzen and Fishbein 1980).
This theory tried to show that attitudes may not be the main predictors of behaviours but placed more emphasis on behavioural intentions. According to the theory, in order to forecast behaviours more effectively apart from attitude we need to include subjective norm in to the account because they are the two important factors which have direct effect on behavioural intentions. Attitude toward behaviour is a person's opinion about behaviour which is good or bad. The subjective norm is the person's perception of the others in the society and what they will think about their behaviour. In most cases , people are usually willing to behave in the way that they believe is good and if others think they should do it. ( Jeeyoung Yoon,2003,p.1), (Kelli Mc Cormark Brow,1999,p.3),
