Gang Violence in America

a large amount of gang-related activity is the result of an unfulfilling or dysfunctional family environment. In order to establish a firm basis upon which young people can build their lives, the authors then suggest that more healthy families should be established. Families and schools can then work together to help students build healthy peer relationships that are built on mutual friendship rather than fear, delinquency and crime.
             There are several reasons that authors address for young people to become involved in gangs and related delinquent activities.
