re are many faces of the woman of Pakistan. In the rural areas of Frontier or the villages of Sindh and Punjab, she lives with the identity of either the mother of the future feudal lord, wife, daughter or sister of the feudal, where as in the urban cities women are educated and not completely deprived of their legitimate rights and to some extent considered equivalent to men. But traditionally a women's place is said to her home, living inside the four walls and cooking, cleaning and serving her family. Since the day she is born, she is to live with the individuality of another individual, which has to be a man related to her. In some societies and areas today girl child is particularly an "unwanted" child. Female infanticide is the killing of a girl child within weeks of her birth. Infanticide has been practiced as a brutal method of family planning in societies where boy children are still valued, economically and socially, above girls In fact, it maybe considered quite uncomely for a woman to live with her own individuality. There is often little or no education for them in the male chauvinistic society and are married off at a very younger age with the decision making power strictly in the hands of male family members. Health and nutritious diet is often if not all the time not one of the top priorities for women especially and most of them are entitled to the leftovers consumed by the men of the family. After marriage her husband and in laws keep her in any condition they wish for and most of the time she is never granted the status of more than a servant and is treated accordingly. They handle her reins and tether and make decisions on her behalf; like shall she or shall her not have a child every year, or whether she would produce only boys, or whether she can seek independent employment and so on.
