Affirmative Action

re communities of all one race, the majority of communities are segregated. People are able to learn about one another more so than in the past. Affirmative action tends to help bring minorities and upper class together.
             Also the standards of education have been modified and it is much easier to achieve a degree. Colleges and universities are not allowed by law to discriminate because of the color of ones skin, or ones gender. Educational institutions are more open-minded. Students are not thought of to be smarter than another student because of their skin color. In addition, students who are a minority feel the need to excel to prove people wrong. These students prove to people that they are at the same level of student not of a minority.
