Same Sex Marriages

e two major types of harm that we will be doing to our democratic society and our nation, one is physical and the other is psychological. First of all is the physical harm that will take place by allowing gay and lesbians to marry. We are all the offspring of a man and a woman, and marriage is a necessary moral, social, and healthy environment for a child to naturally grow-up in. Physically marriage between the same-sex has no ground. It goes back to what we all learn in our first health class or the "talk" which most parents find themselves giving their children. After so much openness about sex and mommy and daddy, kids still have questions to ask, because it is hard for them to understand how they have come to be a part of this world. I can't imagine how confusing it can get if the child's parents are gay. If gays are allowed to marry they will have all the rights that take place in a traditional marriage such as hospital visitation rights, the right to spousal insurance and inheritance. I agree that gay couples that get married deserve all of those rights because I am sure they value their marriage like any other married couple and expect no less than any straight couple would as far as the obvious marital issues. However, the controversy and the loophole in the law is that they will be able to adopt and have kids by artificial insemination. (Sullivan 107) When I think of kids growing up in a house with two dads or two mothers, I think to myself what will be next, polygamous or incestuous marriage?
