like him. People who are that bad can not change, as much as you try to make them they will not.
             The way Huck's father treated Huck was the only way I think he knew how. I believe that he was trying to show him that he loved him but he was never loved any other way so how can he show it in any other way. I am surprised to see that Huck wanted to leave his father. I thought that he was going to be happy when he was taken away from Miss Watson because he hated her so much at the beginning. But all in all he wanted to get away from his father, his own flesh and blood.
             I was really impressed with the way that he contained so much knowledge and made it into a great plan to leave his father. Huck has so much guts to leave and go for the river all by himself. I don't? blame him being suspicious about all the little things that he encountered, like the camp fire.
             When Huck discovered Jim I think it was the best thing that could have happened to him. Slaves are not suspoed to be smart, that is why they are slaves. But Jim is very smart.Some young birds came along, flying a yard or two at a time and lighting. Jim said it was a sign it was going to rain.? (p. 56) Jim knew a lot about the nature perhaps because he has been around it a lot.
             A lot happen within these chapters. A lot of plot change and new characters came into view. But I think what we learned here was that what Huck wants most for himself is to succeed and not have anyone's help doing it. He wants to be alone or in charge.
             Adventures of Huckleberry Finn- Ch. 10-18
             In these chapters we begin to learn more about Jim as a character and we see how Huck and Jim have developed such a great friendship. We see how loyal and trustworthy they are too each other and how they watch each others back.
