h those in a position of leadership handle their responsibilities. Organizational leadership is an essential component in the managing of a successful firm. More specifically, team leadership plays an important part in the ability of an organization to gain and maintain the competitive advantage.
             Another vital factor related to the development of a successful organization is teamwork. Most contemporary organizations are heavily dependent upon teams of workers to perform certain tasks for the organization. When teams are not able to come together to achieve a common goal the entire organization suffers.
             With these things being understood, it is important to recognize that the appropriate leadership is necessary when determining how to build teams within an organization. If the leadership of a particular organization is lacking, the capacity of the organization to produce teams that compliment one another and work well together is greatly diminished. In fact, a book entitled "The Psychology of leadership: New Perspectives and Research" explains that the quality of leadership within a group is a direct determinant in whether or not that group fails or succeeds.
             The purpose of this professional consultation is to discuss the lack of leadership as it relates to the capacity of my particular organization to build teams. The consultation will focus on identifying a leadership problem within the organization which could have been successfully treated using the appropriate leadership techniques.
