why do we want to reproduce? So, we don't die. But, why
             don't we want to die? Heller tries endlessly for his readers to realize his
             desperate attempt at explaining the consequences that life has, or doesn't
             have! He wants the reader to realize that life is merely a series of
             unimportant sequences with no real value or significance; according to
             Kennard, that "all man has to hold on to is his own physical body."
             However, his message is probably a little less morbid than that. But, it is
             this cyclical motion of thought that propels Catch-22 to the level of humor
