to let the people know that as the spirit was poured out to the disciples it could be given to all people, and in that the Jews that were before him. That all flesh was intended to be in filled with the Holy Spirit. Then after that statement Peter moved on and told the people about Jesus, that he came and performed miracles, wonders and signs. That wicked people had put him to death on the cross but that God had raised him from the dead. Peter then uses David as an example to show the people the greatness of Christ in comparison to David. That David is buried and in the ground but that Jesus was raised up and that death could not keep a hold on him. Then Peter said, "therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ"(Acts 2:36)
