The issue of same sex couples having the right to marry has been brought up over and over again. Since the ban nation-wide on same sex marriages many people feel that it is wrong to allow two people of the same sex to marry for various reasons, and others feel it should be a personal choice whom they marry. Where people stand on this subject is controversial some people are for it and others do everything in their power to stop what they believe to be an immoral act. I believe that anyone who is in love and wants to sanctify their relationship by exchanging of vows to show they are committed to one another should have the legal right to do so no matter what their sexual preference happens to be. Heterosexual couples have the right to marry without anyone questioning their ability to have a lasting relationship. In turn, why should anyone have the right to question or doubt a normal life of homosexual couples: Just because same sex relationships don't fit into everyone's perception of a "normal" life style doesn't mean their relationship can't work. In my experience with most homosexual couples they have been together longer than most heterosexual couples. I am for legalization of same sex marriages because same sex couples should be able to have a contract between them declaring their love to one another. In addition they should be shown the same right and benefits that married couples receive.
             If homosexual couples were allowed to have a committed relationship with a contractual bond it would bring more contentment to their relationships (www.familyresearchinst.org).
