             Homosexuals should have the same rights as heterosexuals. Homosexual couples do not have the same right as heterosexual couples when it comes down to adopting a child; for example homosexuals are only allowed to adopt a child when they are married (the Economist). However I personally believe this issue on adoption should change considering the fact that homosexuals are only permitted to marry in three states (The New Republic), therefore leaving a small percentage of homosexuals qualified to adopt.
