Some of the rights they refused the blacks include shopping in white stores, and making them sign employment contracts.
             Tom Watson started his political career by doing something no other man had done before; he called for blacks and whites to unite. For a brief while it happened and then the Ku Klux Klan threatened a black populist leader and Watson called for help. With his call for help more than 1,000 farmers showed up at his side.
