Evangelicalism's evident revivals had the ability to grab hold of person empowering them to move. The following quote from a revival states, "Oh! What a power while hundreds were prostrate upon the earth before the Lord. The preachers then went around the camp ground singing a parting Hymn, the people standing in form almost drowned in tears..." and it goes on "...To see the people running, yes running, from every direction to the stand weeping, shouting and shouting for joy pray was then made- and every brother fell upon the neck of his brother and wept and the sisters did likewise and then we parted" (Document II, pg 9).
