             A further notion incorporated into all Disney films is the unending battle between good and evil. In this timeless war, evil may triumph in smaller skirmishes but good will eventually prove victorious. Acting as pawns in this great conflict are the stereotypical heroes, heroines and villains, these all occur, with but a few alterations for the modern audience, in Beauty and the Beast, with the villain Gaston a dark haired, powerful, strong man, with an devilish plan and wicked sidekick. Belle, the beautiful, good and, to appeal to a modern audience, pro-active heroine.
             And the Beast, the hero, although at first not your standard hero, he does eventually transform into a typified, strong, brave, regal and handsome. Of these three main character types at least two are nearly always represented in all Disney animations.
