The law firm of Robert G. Goodman, whose special is in personal injury law
             suits. Mr. Robert G. Goodman's office handles auto cases, slips and falls,
             trip and falls, lead poisoning labor accident and various miscellaneous and
             other types of cases involving injuries to his clienteles. I started
             approximately August 31st 2000, my duties are filing legal papers, serving
             legal documents, office procedures, filing office documents, following up
             medical requests, setting up appointments, translating and taking in cases.
             In the beginning of the internship, I started serving and filing papers,
             it was a maze. The courthouses are very confusing because there are a lot of
             procedures to follow up for filing. It took a while until I finally learned
             how the system works and whom I have to speak to so, I can be able to file
             I file and serve all borough's Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx
             each borough has it's own supreme courthouse. Each courthouse is named
             differently as follows Manhattan is called Supreme New York, Queens is Supreme
             Queens, Brooklyn is Supreme Kings, and the Bronx is Supreme Bronx. From all of
             these Supreme courthouses I will focus on Supreme Bronx since this is the
             courthouse I am most familiar with. The law firm I work for all lawyers have
             cases in the Bronx so, I surely visit the Bronx every time I work at the firm.
             Procedures to file legal documents in Supreme the Bronx, for example
             filing index numbers. Index numbers are bought at the courthouse for one
             hundred and seventy dollars, the motion support office has to approve it before
             buying it from the Bronx county clerk. The county clerk is required to give it
             a number to keep track of the case through out the court.
             Summons and Complaint would be the next step in filing for a case. A
             summons and complaint is as action that is being taken in the case. County
