Prosecutors and members of the jury I would like to testify that Meuersalt is in fact not guilty for the death of the Arab. Jury you have heard the prosecutions case. You have heard all the accusations made against this man. They claim to have looked into his soul and found nothing. However the prosecution can only see what they want to see and they don't look any further. When I look into this man I see a man victimized for not conforming to society's beliefs. This man doesn't lie to you. Jury you have seen he has admitted to each and every account of the day as it happened. What hasn't been looked into is how and why it happened. This is a simple case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time with Meuersalt being the victim. Although the death looked thoroughly planned, there are very logical explanations for each event that occurred leading up to the day of the Arab's death. Jury I will go over each event of the past couple of weeks, starting with his Meuersalt's mothers funeral to prove to you that he is in fact a decent man that by chance got involved in a death that was a unfortunate incident and not a cold blooded murder.
             The event of Meurersalt's mother's funeral had no connection what so ever with the death of the Arab. However to clear the accusations that were made against Meuersalt. I have come across his journal which I would like to submit as evidence. The prosecution believes that Meuersalt is a withdrawn person, in his journal he states that the reason for this is that he speaks only when he has something worth saying. It is the same with his feelings. He only shows what he is feeling, if he doesn't feel something he won't show it.
