r hour for? It is all about being happy. In the Declaration of Independence it states that we have the right of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That is just a constitutional right. It says in the second amendment to the constitution, that any person has the right to bear arms. This was instituted so that the people could protect themselves from the government, which at the time was the British government. However, once a person stops being a law-abiding citizen and commits a felony they should loose the right to own any type of weapon, just like they loose the right to vote. I believe that we do not need more gun control just better gun education. If the people are taught to respect firearms and use good safety habits, most of them will use them for hunting and other sports instead of committing violent crimes.
             I found that the National Rifleman Association, NRA, shares my views. Formed in 1871 by officers in the Union Army to promote better marksmanship among its soldiers. The NRA urges citizens to become certified in firearm safety. The NRA has 500,000 certified gun safety instructors that train over 750,000 gun owners a year. The NRA started the Eddie Eagle gun safety program in 1988. This program was designed to teach young kids the value of gun safety and what to do if the see an unattended firearm. They teach the kids to "STOP. DON'T TOUCH. LEAVE THE AREA. TELL AN ADULT." In 1990 the NRA formed the NRA Foundation. The NRA Foundation raises money to fund gun safety and recreation projects all around the nation. The NRA is always pushing to put the choice of gun ownership into the citizens' hands.
