to go buy something at Wal-Mart is in my point just wrong. I believe that English should be the official language of the United States of America. When I go to the doctor I should not have to search for the English translation out of ten to fifteen other languages. I am not saying that we ban the speaking of every other language. However what I am saying that all federal, state, and legal documents be printed in English along with all businesses. The government should not have to baby-sit all of the people that live in the US that do not speak English. When our forefathers came to America in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, they were just expected to learn to speak English. If I were to go to another country and did not know how to speak the language there would not be some government agency to baby-sit me until I learn the smallest amount of that language. It is the responsibility of the citizen to learn the customs of that land.
