her way to her grandmother's house. Her mom showed up late at night with Dan Sklar and two policemen. Her grandmother answered the door and told Adele to come back in the morning. Then all four of them left. She came back to pick up Ann that morning. Later she told Ann that it was about time they went to California without Ted. The Red Owl grocery store had a contest to win $10,000.00.They tried really hard to win, but they eventually gave up. Adele fell in love with a car. But they decided they wanted to go to California more than getting the car. Ted talked to Ann about them leaving. He said that Adele was going to try to say he was homosexual, but he is not. He also said he is sorry to see them go. Adele ended up getting the car anyway. Adele found the naked pictures Ann took. She didn't get very mad. She just told Ann not to do it ever again. Then they left the house. They went to Ann's grandmother's house to say goodbye before they left. Benny (Ann's cousin) gave her a gift that he made by hand. Her grandmother gave them a portable TV. Then they left for good.
