" I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through

me." These are words spoken by Jesus Christ according to the Book Of John (14. 6). One

would need to know more about Jesus to be able to comprehend His words. He had twelve

disciples, that He had chosen himself. He performed many miracles throughout His ministry.
He taught the people, as well as His disciples through the use of parables, beatitudes, and

also through prayer. For this, He was betrayed and killed only to rise again, carrying out

God's plan for which he was sent to earth. Illuminate the major aspects of Jesus Christ's

public ministry, of His teachings, and of His passion and resurrection.

influential people ever to have lived.

Luke. They state that His ministry began with Him returning from the wilderness, where He

was tempted by the devil, after fasting and meditating for forty days, to Galilee, upon

hearing the news that John The Baptist had been put in jail (Bruce 14). He spent most of

His public ministry, which lasted about four years, in Galilee. He returned to His home in

Nazareth, where His fellow Nazarenes objected to His teachings claiming that He was not

the Son of God, because He was the son of Mary and Joseph. Shortly thereafter, was when

He called His twelve disciples (World Book ).
