Roosevelt favor a post-war world dominated by four policemen? Who were these policemen?
             Roosevelt favored the four policemen idea because he thought it solved a dilemma set forth to him by America wanting an open world market place and Stalin wanting Roosevelt and Churchill to recognize Soviet's right to control parts of Eastern Europe. So, Roosevelt proposed the four policemen which gave the Soviet's the illusion that they would be the ones patrolling Eastern Europe. However, the four policemen policy couldn't work because it clashed with the idea of a free and open world marketplace. So, the police plan was stalled and then went away. The policemen were to be the U.S., Russia, Great Britain, and China.
