Conservation of Mass (using Playdough)
             For this part of the assignment we were instructed to use Playdough, which is a moulding
             compound, used by children to make all sorts of shapes and objects. It is basically a
             dough-like substance with food colouring added to it for a more desirable appearance to
             children. "Playdoh" is the brand that I used for my experiment. It comes in 141.7-g cans,
             and of all different colours, and now it also comes in different scents. The colours I used
             for the purpose of my experiment are "True Blue" and "Fire Engine Red". I chose not to
             use different scented Playdough because this experiment was to focus on conservation of
             mass, and I thought that scented Playdough might alter the results, or change the child's
             focus somehow. Enclosed is a sample of the "True Blue" Playdough (I gave the "Fire
             Engine Red" can to the test subject after we were done at her request).
             Conservation of length (using two wide ribbons of equal size and length)
             For this part of the assignment we were instructed to use two wide ribbons of equal size,
             length, and the same colour. I chose Red wrapping ribbon for this part of my assignment
             because of its bright colour, and its width. It is 12 inches in length, and 2 cm in width.
             Enclosed are the two red ribbons that I used for this experiment.
             Please note that before administering the observations I consulted with the Mothers of the
             children and went over the experiment, so as to give them an idea of what their child
