oy who is shy at first but get more confident when he is around people he knows. His behaviour at lunch suggests that at home his family make the most of what they have so when he sees a plentiful supply of food he takes lots of it. I think Atticus makes him feel more at home by speaking to him like a man and he converses with him about farming so he has something to talk knowledgably about.
             · Scout learns that you always have to respect different kinds of people and although the things they are used to doing may be different form your ways or in some cases offend you, you must not be upset with them.
             · Atticus means that if you want to understand someone's actions, you have to try and put your self in their position and think as they do.
