He does not speak badly about her just for recognition. He says in the same song, "I would never diss my own momma just to get recognition." He has no reason to lie about the way he was brought up; therefore he is telling the truth. There is not one person that can tell Eminem how to get along with his mother. Eminem's personal problems are nobody's business. People should be worrying about their own problems before getting involved in another's issues.
