Teena she felt like a man but she really was a women. Even though she tried her hardest to disguise her feminine side to look more masculine it did not work. She could only hide it for so long till the monsters in the movie found out her true identity and it was all over for Tenna "Brandon". I find it hard to believe that people could be that inhuman as to murder and rape a young woman "or man", depending on their sexuality. After watching Boys Don't Cry, I was so stunned that I could hardly sleep. The emotional impact of the rape and murder hit me so hard that I felt its repercussions hours later it was a very disturbing film. I couldn't stop thinking about the movie. I think that it was based on a true story, which made it even more disturbing. Boys Don't Cry imagines multiple, irresolvable perspectives.
